Ever wondered why your dog tilts their head
That sweet little head tilt is more than a cute moment. Dogs do it to help them focus on sound, adjusting the angle of their ears so they can work out where a noise is coming from and what it might mean. It is their way of tuning in more carefully.
The head tilt also helps dogs see our faces more clearly. Many dogs have muzzles that can partially block their view, so tilting their head gives them a better look at our eyes and expressions. Dogs are remarkably good at reading human emotions and the tilt is one of the ways they gather that information.
So when your dog tilts their head at you, they are not just being adorable. They are listening closely, watching you carefully and trying to understand exactly what you are saying. A small gesture that shows just how much they care about the people they love.
