Blakehurst Vet clinic began as a small, single-vet practice, primarily providing house calls. Over the years, it has expanded into a larger vet clinic with a purpose-built hospital facility and luxurious Hotel for Cats.
Owned and operated by the Bathgate family, Blakehurst Vet remains a proudly family-run, independent vet clinic committed to delivering personalised care and exceptional service to our valued clients.

Senior Vet
Dr Catherine is a University of Sydney graduate with a passion for working with fur-parents to keep their pet healthy and prevent problems occurring later down the track. With decades of experience caring for local pets, Dr Catherine’s calm and professional manner combined with her thorough and caring approach is a hit with our two and four-legged clients.
Head Vet
After graduating from Sydney Uni, Dr Hamish’s first job was in rural NSW working with large animals before he headed to England to work as a small animal vet, including a stint on the RSPCA TV show. He’s been caring for local pets since 1997 and has a passion for diagnosing tricky medical problems and performing soft tissue surgery.
Veterinarian
Dr Felicity Spicer is an experienced companion animal vet who has worked across Sydney and has been part of the team at Blakehurst Vet at various times over the past two decades. She is known for her calm, thoughtful approach and her commitment to high standards of patient care and strong client relationships.
Hotel Manager
Corey is our Practice Manager and the person who keeps everything ticking. A qualified vet nurse with a career spanning country NSW and Sydney, he brings real expertise in both animal care and facilities management. Warm, capable and absolutely devoted to our patients, Corey is loved by clients and their pets in equal measure.
