I visited this vet for the first time for my 2 year old cats skin issues. The Nurse and the Vet were extremely warm and friendly. The nurse took the initiative to retrieve my cats medical history from her previous vet which I believe is important and I haven’t had other clinics do this before. How to begin this, how to say thank you to a team of people that have loved and cared for your animal as much as you did. 14 years ago we met Dr Hamish when we brought our scrawny rescue in and with his help we had a wonderful cat named Bruce. We have been seeing him ever since for regular check ups to emergencies and everything in between. Our trust in him never wavered and his advice was always welcome. This last year has been our hardest with Bruce becoming older and requiring a lot of extra attention. I was at the end of my tether with my vet but I'm sooo glad that I found Hamish at Blakehurst. He is very caring and has such a natural way with my dog Johnnie. His years of experience shows. He was able to fix Johnnies ear infection when others have failed. I can always get into see him so Johnnie always has the same doctor which I just love. Dr Hamish Bathgate is a wonderful vet. 4 years ago he saved my beautiful dog Niki when she had an Addisonian crisis. Addison’s disease is very difficult to diagnose and I am most grateful that Hamish had the expertise to solve her illness before it was too late.He is a caring, compassionate and experienced vet and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
