Pup First Visit
What to Expect at Your Puppy's First Vet Visit
A Thorough Health Check
Our puppy vet will do a full nose-to-tail check. This will make sure your puppy is growing well and has no health issues. This includes:
✔ Checking their heart, lungs, eyes, ears, and teeth
✔ Examining their skin and coat for any signs of parasites or allergies
✔ Assessing their weight and body condition
✔ Checking for any congenital issues
During your visit, we will talk about desexing. We will cover the best time for the procedure and its health benefits. These benefits include lowering the risk of some cancers and preventing unwanted litters.
Vaccinations & Preventative Care
Puppies need a series of vaccinations to protect them from serious diseases. During your visit, we will discuss and administer the necessary vaccines.
We’ll also provide flea, tick, and worming treatments to keep your puppy protected from parasites. If your puppy isn’t already microchipped, we can do this during their visit.
Puppy Socialisation & Play Sessions
Early socialisation is one of the most important parts of puppy care. That’s why we offer free puppy play sessions for puppies aged 10–14 weeks who have been checked by our vet. These sessions offer a safe and supervised space for your puppy to meet other puppies, helping them build confidence and learn good social skills. Early playtime is essential for preventing behavioural problems in the future.
